【県指定：史跡】ドイツ皇帝博愛記念碑
〔どいつこうていはくあいきねんひ〕
漲水港の近くの市街地に建つ記念碑は、ドイツ皇帝ウイルヘルムⅠ世の命によって1876（明治９）年３月20日に建立、22日除幕式が挙行された。1873（明治６）年７月、宮古島の南海岸・宮国沖合に座礁したドイツ商船ロベルトソン号の乗組員を宮古の人々が助けた。助けられた８人の乗組員たちは、１ヶ月余り看護された後に船を与えられ帰国した。
ウイルヘルムⅠ世は、この宮古の人々の救助活動を知って大変感激し、軍艦チクロープ号を宮古島に派遣して、漲水（現平良）港の見える丘の斜面に記念碑を建てさせた。
記念碑は、表の上段はドイツ語、下段と裏面は中国語で遭難や救助活動のことを明記している。
【Prefecturally Designated：Historic Site】German Monument to Commemorate Goodwill in Miyako
The monument, which stands in the middle of the city near the Harimizu Port, was erected on March 20 in 1876, based on the order of German Emperor, Wilheim I, and the unveiling was officially held on March 22 of the same year. In July of 1873, a German merchant ship, the Robertson, was grounded off to the south of Miyako Island, off the shores of Miyaguni. The people of Miyako helped the crewmen, taking care of eight men for over a month. The crewmen recovered and were given a ship to return home.
When Wilheim I learned of the rescue efforts and the hospitality given to his countrymen by the people of Miyako, he was greatly moved with gratitude and sent a German naval ship to erect a monument on a hill that overlooks Harimizu Port (present day Hirara Port). On the monument, it clearly specifies the shipwreck and the rescue efforts in German on top and on the bottom and the back, in Chinese.

屹立在漲水港附近市區的紀念碑是由德國皇帝威廉Ⅰ世於1876年（明治9年）3月20日命人建立，22日進行了揭幕式。1873年（明治6年）7月德國的商船羅伯特森號在宮古島的南邊海岸・宮國海上觸礁後，獲得了宮古人的救援，被救起的8名船員在1個多月的療養後，拿回自己的船隻回國了。
威廉Ⅰ世得知宮古人的救援活動後非常感激，派軍艦奇可羅普號到宮古島，在可以看見漲水港（現在的平良）的山丘斜面上，建立了紀念碑。
紀念碑的圖表上段用德語，下段和背面是用中文明確記載著，船隻遇難和救助活動的情形。
【오키나와현 지정：사적】독일 황제 박애 기념비
하리미즈항 근처 시가지에 있는 기념비는 독일 황제 빌헴름 1세의 하명을 받아 1876년 3월 20일에 건립, 22일에 제막식을 올린 것이다. 1873년 7월, 미야코섬 남해안, 미야구니 앞바다에서 좌초한 독일 상선 로버트슨호의 승무원들을 미야코 사람들이 구조했다. 구조된 여덟 명의 승무원들은 한 달 여 동안 주민들의 간병을 받은 후 주민들의 도움으로 귀국하게 되었다.
빌헴름 1세는 미야코 사람들의 구조 활동에 큰 감동을 받아 군함 치크로프호를 미야코섬에 파견, 하리미즈(현재의 히라라)항이 보이는 언덕 경사면에 기념비를 세우게 하였다. 기념비의 앞면 상단은 독일어, 뒷면과 하단은 중국어로 조난과 구조 활동에 관한 내용을 명기하였다.
